Pearl: I am a transplanted Yankee now living in Texas and working at My U. I am a playwright and historian. Here I muse about the life academic and creative, my love of Paris and French things in general, cooking and eating, and my new passion, frugality. I am also the companion (slave) to the world's most personable cat, Jack. I ask myself every day, "What is the life of the mind"? Maybe I'll figure it out here.
